Our Team.
Each of us at Rook St. were brought together by our elite credentials and a shared interest in forward-thinking education. Our tutoring model is cooperative and holistic, which is why we offer three avenues towards personalised learning and support. Alongside tutorials, we offer mentorship sessions and a worry-box system that provide different spaces for students to explore and develop their learning skills.
We emphasise choice and collaboration at every stage in the tutoring process. This means that students get to choose who leads their tutorial sessions, when and with whom their mentoring sessions take place. Find out more about what we offer below.
We provide our students with a suite of extra benefits alongside 1-1 tutoring. These help to make our teaching more holistic and comprehensive.
We offer tutoring with special emphases. We are proud of all the combinations of style, connection, and spontaneity we see in sessions …and, we put a basic level of attention towards young people’s core learning faculties (e.g., memory, perception, attention, language-communication, and imagination). This basis makes a fundamental promise to productivity, sustainable learning, and potential.
Mentorship sessions offer students a space to discuss their broader aims and anxieties about academic life. We believe that mentoring can provide students with novel pathways towards reflection and academic development outside of the usual constraints of school and tutorials. ​

Our worry box is a carefully read email domain, so that young people can be heard for the parts that don't make it into sessions, or occur outside that time-scale.
